Cork Food Week in association with The Evening Echo is being launched this year for the first time as a celebration Cork food blended with the great Cork Culture.  The week long food and culture week was initiated by Cork Restaurants and the aim is to incorporate all of Cork’s sectors in this event.

Last year we started the process with the Cork Pirate Gourmet Trail which took place on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend.  16 Restaurants joined forces to give a fun filled day to a large variety of people.  Keeping the Port of Cork in mind the event was Pirate Themed and Doubloons could be earned along the way if anybody was willing to sing a song!!

Due to its fantastic success the Cork Restaurants have come together to launch the 1st Cork Food week running from July 27th to August 4th , 2012. The Concept of the week is to showcase Food and culture in Cork.  This festival of food and culture is being coordinated by the Restaurants themselves with great support from other tourism agencies, councils, critics and businesses in Cork.  It is an amazing venture where all sectors in Cork will come together to promote our city and county.

As events are organised we will update the website to let you know what’s happening and when!
